Sustainability Consultant

Sutton/Bedford

A well-established multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking a Sustainability Consultant to join its growing sustainability team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of UK-based projects, including residential, mixed-use, commercial, education, and healthcare developments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver sustainability assessments and advisory services across multiple project types

  • Undertake BREEAM assessments, including evidence reviews and site inspections

  • Prepare sustainability statements and reports to support planning applications

  • Provide advice on net zero carbon strategies and wider sustainability objectives

  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary design teams

Essential Criteria
  • Degree-qualified in sustainability, environmental science, building services, or a related discipline

  • Experience working in a sustainability or built environment consultancy role

  • Strong understanding of sustainable building design principles

  • Excellent written, verbal, and organisational skills

Desirable Criteria
  • Licensed BREEAM Assessor

  • Experience with life cycle assessment (LCA) or carbon reporting

  • Knowledge of UK sustainability standards and legislation

  • Membership of a relevant professional body
