This role will partner closely with senior stakeholders, providing insight, analysis, and recommendations to improve profitability and support growth initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing

Main Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Support the head of Commercial Finance in improving reporting, processes and financial control.
  • Developing KPIs and regular reporting with focus on the Sales function and for other business areas as required.
  • Budget modelling and coordination, collaborating with other departments to ensure the budge aligns with financial goals.
  • Forecasting and KPI reporting, updating KPIs and preparing monthly reports for stakeholders.
  • Sales reporting development including performance reporting, commission control, and pricing analysis.
  • Ad hoc analysis, financial modelling and reporting involving large volumes of data to support decision making and business improvement.
  • Investment business case modelling.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and implement processes to reinforce compliance.

Education and Experience:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification (or part-qualified with relevant experience) preferred but not essential.
  • Experience of working in Finance and understanding of sensitivities and governance.
  • Proven data analysis and financial modelling experience.
  • Sales CRM and pipeline management systems and reporting experience would be a bonus.
  • Energy sector experience and understanding desirable but not essential.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel modelling.
  • Skilled in handling and analysing large, complex sets of data.
  • Clear presentation of financial reporting, options and outcomes to financial and non-financial colleagues
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teams across different locations.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively improve processes
  • Curiosity with confidence to question and challenge.
